‘Uri terror attack staged by India to create Sikh-Muslim hatred’, says Pakistan media

New Delhi, September 20, 2016: Pakistan’s media has developed a fascinating new thesis – India staged the Uri terror attack to create hatred between the Sikh and Muslim communities in Kashmir.

Here’s how Pakistan’s The News International has come to the above conclusion.

“Sources in the security establishment insist that the military brigade headquarter (in Uri), which has been the target of what is believed to be India’s false flag operation, is Sikh dominated, chosen deliberately to antagonise the Sikhs from supporting the Muslims’ struggle in Kashmir,” the newspaper said today.

Pakistani security sources told the newspaper that “Sikhs have openly supported the just cause of Muslims” for independence in Kashmir. They then added that “it is always the Sikh community selected to suffer by the Hindu-led government in such self-designed attacks.”

The News International said that India’s so-called “staged attack” in Uri had multiple goals.

“It is said that from this false flag operation, India wants to achieve more than one targets, including accusing Pakistan of backing terrorism, diverting the world attention from the killings by its forces in occupied Kashmir, undermining Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s address at the UN General Assembly session and creating hatred between the Sikh and Muslim communities in Indian-held Kashmir,” Pakistani security officials told The News International.

As evidence to show Uri was staged by India, the newspaper asked how terrorists could sneak in so easily.

“India has erected a type-A fence all along the Line of Control besides installing state-of-the-art laser sensors to detect any cross LoC movement,”the newspaper wrote. A source is quoted as telling the paper: “How then a handful of terrorists could sneak across, dodging the third largest army of the planet earth with its hi-tech gadgets and their ferocious K9 force?”

More evidence?

“Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is known for spewing venom against Pakistan, was to leave for his Russian tour on September 17 but cancelled his trip one day prior to the impending attack in Uri. ‘Hope he wasn’t waiting to see the unfolding of virtual play which he and (India’s National Security Advisor) Ajit Doval had jointly scripted,’ a source suggested.”

“Extremist Hindus”

Another Pakistani newspaper Dawn called India bloodthirsty, in the light of BJP leader Ram Madhav saying that to avenge Uri a tooth for a tooth isn’t enough, and it should be “a jaw for one tooth.”

“…it was not a surprising reaction to the terror attack that came from Ram Madhav, an RSS-loaned trouble-shooter for the Hindutva establishment in Delhi. He promptly called for a jaw for each tooth, whatever that means in a region crawling with nuclear weapons,” Dawn wrote.

“For all the flaunting of Mahatma Gandhi’s name to appear in public view as a nonviolent polity, independent India has revealed a gargantuan appetite for inflicting violence, most of all on its own people,”Dawn wrote today.

The editorial then went into describing scripture.

“The Old Testament decreed an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Jesus subsequently softened God’s command. He advised offering the other cheek. Gandhi favoured the dictum as much as he could, but the extremist Hindus for all their loathing of the Christian faith settled for the Old Testament,” it said.

Philippines president on drug war: ‘Can’t kill them all’ after 3,000 drug users, dealers killed

Philippines, September 19, 2016: Philippines’ controversial President Rodrigo Duterte, who called on authorities and citizens to kill drug users and dealers on sight soon after assuming office less than three months ago, has sought a six-month extension for his war on drugs, which has already led to the death of more than 3,000 suspects, mostly by hacking.

“Even if I wanted to, I cannot kill them all,” Duterte said at a news conference in the southern city of Davao on Sunday, of his campaign promise to eradicate illegal drugs within six months, Agency France Presse reported.

Police say they have killed 1,105 drug suspects, and another 2,035 have been murdered by unknown assailants, according to human rights groups, as a result of his campaign promise to kill 100,000 people to deal with illegal drugs. The United States, the European Union parliament and the United Nations have strongly condemned Duterte’s approach to deal with the drug issue.

“I did not realize how severe and how serious the drug menace was in this republic until I became president,” said Duterte.

Soon after his election as president, Duterte urged citizens with guns to join the war agains drug dealers by killing them. “Please feel free to call us, the police, or do it yourself if you have the gun – you have my support,” he was quoted as saying at the time. In case citizens face any resistance and threats from a drug dealer, “you can kill him… Shoot him and I’ll give you a medal,” he added.

The Philippines is a Roman Catholic-majority country and the church does not approve of President Duterte’s call for violence.

Archbishop Socrates Villegas, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, issued a statement to be read in churches earlier. “I am a human being. That is all it takes for me to stand up and say ENOUGH. The humanity in me is hurting each time a fellow human is hurt. A portion of my humanity dies when a fellow human dies… Is not humanity going down to the dregs when bloodthirsty humans encourage the killers and ask for more blood?” the archbishop wrote.

Meanwhile, Edgar Matobato, a former Filipino militiaman, testified before the country’s Senate last week that Duterte, when he was still a city mayor, ordered him and other members of a liquidation squad to kill criminals and opponents in gangland-style assaults that left about 1,000 dead.

Matobato told the nationally televised Senate committee hearing that he heard Duterte order some of the killings, and acknowledged that he himself carried out about 50 deadly assaults as an assassin, including a suspected kidnapper fed to a crocodile in southern Davao del Sur province in 2007, according to The Star.

“Our job was to kill criminals like drug pushers, rapists, snatchers. These are the kind we killed every day,” Matobato was quoted as saying.

Earlier this month, U.S. President Barack Obama canceled a scheduled meeting with Duterte after the Philippines president reacted to Obama’s criticism and used abusive language.

“I am a president of a sovereign state and we have long ceased to be a colony,” Duterte had said, according to New York Daily News. “You must be respectful… I do not have any master except the Filipino people, nobody but nobody. You must be respectful. Do not just throw questions… Putang ina, I will swear at you in that forum.”

“Putang ina Tagalog” means “son of a bitch.”

“Obama will not be holding a bilateral meeting with President Duterte of the Philippines this afternoon,” Obama’s National Security Council spokesman Ned Price said in a statement. “Instead he will meet with President Park of the Republic of Korea.”

ISIS video shows brainwashed ‘Cubs of the Caliphate’ training to ‘Conquer Jerusalem & Rome’

Syria, September 19, 2016: A new video released by an Islamic State-run media outlet provides in depth detail into how the jihadi organization is brainwashing and training young children to become the next wave of jihadis who will help “conquer Damascus, Baghdad, Jerusalem , Mecca, Al-Medina, Dabiq, Rome and Andalusia.”

The video, which was posted and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, features a narrator who tours an IS (also known as ISIS or ISIL) “sharia institution” in the Syrian town of Deir ez-Zor.

The footage shows a class of young boys in green uniforms sitting down on the floor with their legs crossed while reading and reciting the koran.

During the tour, the narrator questions students about their dreams and goals of being infidel-killing jihadis.

“I want to be a martyrdom-seeker for the sake of Allah, thus heeding the words of the Prophet Muhammad: ‘The martyrs that Allah loves most are the ones who fight in the front lines and do not turn their backs until they are killed,'” one brainwashed child told the camera.

After the narrator explains that the kids are urged to get to know the koran by heart, the video shows a couple young “cubs of the caliphate” applying their knowledge of sharia law in the public.

One jihadi-in-training is showng in the video stopping two other kids who look to be his age from swimming because they were wearing inappropriate attire.

“If a woman passes by, would you like her to see you this way?” the boy asked. “Put your shirt on.”

Another boy is shown in the video telling his uncle that he must follow the words of the prophet and shave his mustache and grow his beard.

“The cubs do not engage only in activities in the field of sharia. They join their brothers fighting on the front lines,” the narrator said, followed by footage of young boys shooting assault rifles.

“Just as they are humble towards Muslims, they are harsh towards the infidels,” the narrator continued. “From a very young age, they are raised on harshness, hatred, and animosity toward the infidels.”

The narrator goes on to bring up misconceived notions critical of Western civilization, which could lead viewers to believe that the caliphate cubs are being brainwashed with such notions.

The narrator said that Muslim children in the West are being pulled away from their religion by Western “tyrants” and that they will eventually “become soldiers of the Crusaders and will fight Islam and the Muslims so that they will become humiliated and subjugated.”

The narrator also accuses those “tyrants” of killing thousands of Muslims and raping their women. The irony is rich in the fact that IS has killed and sexually enslaved thousands of religious minorities since the group rose to power in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

“At the same time, the Caliphate is teaching its cubs about their religion so that they become the vanguard of the army of the Caliphate, Allah willing, and so that they will become the generation that will conquer Damascus, Baghdad, Jerusalem, Mecca, Medina, Dabiq, Rome and Andalusia, Allah willing,” the narrator said, followed by more footage of the child jihadis training and clearing AK-47s and other kinds of assault rifles.

The footage also shows some of the child jihadis training in combat tanks.

“The Islamic State is proud to have planted true Islam within these cubs, who will be in the midst of the battles in a few years, Allah willing,” the narrator concluded. “Even if we are all eradicated and no one survives, these cubs will carry the banner of jihad and will complete the journey. By Allah, with these young men, we will make the infidels forget the whispers of Satan.”

IS has been known to use some of its young “cubs of the caliphate” to execute its victims.

Most recently, IS released a propaganda video showing a British boy and four other “cubs of the caliphate” executing five Kurdish troops by shooting them in the back of the head in IS’ Syrian stronghold of Raqqa.

Agra, September 19, 2016: Country-made bombs and stones were thrown into a church in Lakhimpur Kheri district in Uttar Pradesh Sep 17 night, police said.

Some bike-borne men reportedly threw the “sutli” bombs and stones at Christ Church in Kotwali police station area. The bombs landed inside the church. One of them exploded, damaging window panes and furniture.

According to the church authorities, the Sunday mass was performed on the pavement as people were “afraid” to go inside.

SP City (Lakhimpur Kheri) DM Chaudhary said that something that “looks like a bomb” was thrown inside the church. “It’s a mischievous act. We have sent the object for testing to verify its kind and intensity,” he added.

“We have lodged an FIR against unidentified men under Section 295 of IPC (injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion) and Explosives Act. Interrogation is being done to identify the accused,” said SHO Kotwali Ramveer Chaudhary.

According to Sureel Loyal, the church’s property officer, two bombs were thrown inside the church around midnight. He alleged that the police did not respond to their calls, prompting them to call the local MP and MLA. “We mentioned in our complaint to the police that we made multiple calls to 100 and the SSP’s official mobile phone from 7 am to 9 am, but no one responded,” he added.

Ajay Mishra alias Teni, BJP MP from Lakhimpur Kheri, said,“I called up the SSP and DM and ensured action. I will meet the Father tomorrow,” he added.

When a bad day is the last thing you need

September 19, 2016 by

We’ve all had those days.

The alarm clock doesn’t go off and you’re late for work. The clothes that you were going to wear today are still damp in the dryer, so you have the choice of wearing cold, damp clothes or pulling something dirty out of the laundry basket. There’s no time to pack lunches so you toss your kids some lunch money and send them out the door. One child has a meltdown because his tummy hurts. You can’t find your keys. Oh, and you left your coffee in the microwave. All before 8:00 a.m.

We’ve been there. We know your pain.

Stress has a way of building and building until we crack. Our bad days can turn us into monsters that we don’t recognize in the mirror. Subconsciously, we feel like we have to do something to let off steam. For many of us, our impulse is to yell.

Our frustration can be let out at anyone in our path: a spouse, child, co-worker, or even an unsuspecting telemarketer. On a particularly stressful day, I once let a Direct TV salesman have it in a Costco store. “NO, I don’t want to know about today’s great deal on satellite TV! We have Netflix which costs a fraction of the price and I’m just here to buy granola bars!”

(I went back a few days later to apologize to this poor man who had caught me on my worst day. I never did find him, and I dearly hope he didn’t quit because of my outburst.)

Author Sarah Mae writes about a time when her bad day led her to yell at her beloved daughter.

“My husband had had a bad day at work, and I had a bad day, and the badness of the day got flung onto my kids through the sharpest weapon I have: my tongue,” she says.

Mae’s daughter began to shake with fear, just as she remembered doing as a child. Disgusted with herself, she went upstairs and cried, and could hear her daughter doing the same on the floor below.

She felt God telling her what to do.

Mae went back downstairs to her daughter and said, “I hate being yelled at. I did to you what I hate. I’m so sorry.”

In a moment that had been so built up by stress and chaos, grace found a way in.

“I may have botched up, in a moment of incredible weakness, but I am not my weakness,” Mae writes.

“We all botch up, every day, some days, but we don’t have to stay there, in the mess.”

But how do we set ourselves from the mess?

Mae says, “We can enter into real love when we break before others and let Him bind us up; they see the mending and the scars, but they forgive us, as we forgive them. This is grace and freedom. And with grace and freedom there is no room for tension, the painful, ugly tension that strangles a soul.”

Bad days will still happen. But they do not have to ruin us.

“God is in the business of changing us, so don’t let your failings discourage or define you. His mercies are always new. Accept His forgiveness. Ask Him for grace to change… Bad days don’t have to undo us. We can make even a bad day better when we look for glimpses of God and ways to grow.”

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)

Faith’s revenge of the east

New Delhi, September 18, 2016: Call it the evangelisation of a reverse order or revenge of the East on the West or a case of ‘emerging India’. Earlier, Western missionaries were coming to India to preach gospels, now Indian Christians are going to the West, taking over churches and preaching to the Westerners in their own language.

The Indian Christians are not stopping at just a few churches. They are opening new dioceses with several churches under them, and, interestingly, all follow prayers of the Eastern traditions.

“We have got a great opportunity to open churches in the US, the UK, Europe and Australia. It is a welcome phenomenon,” said Father Paul Thelekkat, a prominent voice among the Catholic community in the country.

The Indian fraternity is also acquiring old churches that were lying closed for ages in the Western countries.

In the acquisition process of the churches in the West, the earlier Anglican churches are now being affiliated to Indian Catholic church. Once acquired, these Western churches become Indian. A recent example is that of Most Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers, US. Built by Slovak-immigrant congregation in 1909, it was affiliated to New York Archdiocese. But now it has become St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic Church and belongs to the Kerala-based Malankara Catholic church.

“With natives losing faith in religion and the Western churches getting closed, it is the migrant Indian community that is giving a new lease of life to churches there,” said Father Joas Kuryanikkal who has served as parish priest in two churches in the US. He added that Western believers also attend masses in churches affiliated to Indian dioceses, The New Indian Express reported.

Similarly, St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Chestnut Street and a former Methodist church on Park Hill Avenue have been acquired by the Indian Orthodox congregations.

Indian churches have been opened in the UK too. The most recent was the opening of a church belonging to the Syro-Malabar rite in Presten, Lancashire, UK. The Syro-Malabar fraternity at present has three dioceses in Melbourne and Chicago with many churches under them.

Franklin Graham on new york city bombing: US needs president who’s tough on terrorism

U.S., September 19, 2016: Evangelist Franklin Graham responded to explosions in New York City and New Jersey and a stabbing incident at a Minnesota mall, saying the next president “needs to be someone who is tough on terrorism.” Meanwhile, another explosion was reported in New Jersey early Monday even as authorities were interrogating five people in New York and Islamic State claimed responsibility for the mall attack.

“One thing is for sure – our next president needs to be someone who is tough on terrorism,” Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, wrote in a Facebook post Sunday, hours before another device exploded while a bomb squad robot was examining a suspicious package near an Elizabeth transit station, N.J.

“A pipe bomb exploding in New Jersey, a multiple stabbing in a shopping mall in Minnesota, and a major explosion and a possible second pressure-cooker bomb planted in Manhattan – all within 24 hours here in the United States,” Graham pointed out, urging his followers to join him in “praying for the injured and for the families of victims” and “for law enforcement as they try to find those guilty of being involved in these atrocities and as they continue to serve to protect us.”

The explosive device that exploded early Monday contained as many as five devices, a spokesperson for Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage said, according to NBC News, which quoted him as saying, “Based on the loudness, I think people could have been severely hurt or injured if they had been in the vicinity.”

On Saturday night, a man in a private security uniform stabbed nine people at the Crossroads Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and reportedly asked one victim if she or he was Muslim. An off-duty police officer shot and killed the attacker.

The man who stabbed was a “soldier of the Islamic state,” Rasd, a news agency linked to the Islamic State terror group, also known as Daesh, ISIS or ISIL, claimed, according to The Associated Press.

The Star Tribune of Minneapolis identified the attacker as 22-year-old Dahir A. Adan, whose family is Somali and had lived in the U.S. for 15 years.

None of those stabbed received life-threatening wounds, St. Cloud police Chief Blair Anderson was quoted as saying.

The Manhattan explosion also took place Saturday night on West 23rd Street, near Sixth Avenue in the Chelsea neighborhood, injuring 29 people, shaking buildings and shattering windows.

“I’m concerned,” New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill was quoted as saying. “We did have a bomb that was detonated on 23rd Street and we have no one apprehended, so of course I’m concerned. I know we’re going to find out who did this, and they’ll be brought to justice.”

In Manhattan, a second device was found by security officials about four blocks away in the middle of a residential block, according to The Wall Street Journal, which quoted a law-enforcement official as saying that both bombs were made using pressure cookers that were filled with explosives and shrapnel, including ball bearings or metal BBs, and could be detonated using flip phones and Christmas lights.

The devices are similar to those used in the Boston Marathon bombings, the official added. The second device is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

On Sunday night, authorities stopped a “vehicle of interest” in the New York blast near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York, NBC News reported, quoting FBI officials as saying that five people were being questioned early Monday. While none of them had been charged, the investigation was ongoing.

Over 1,808 children kidnapped in Pakistan in last 2 years, gov’t official says

September 19, 2016 by

Pakistan, September 16, 2016: Pakistani Human rights activists are decrying government claims that 90 percent of the over 1,100 children reported missing in Pakistan’s Punjab province last year left their home on their own will, and argued that the police are covering up the systemic abuse and kidnapping of Christian girls.

As word has swept across the province that over 600 children have been kidnapped in the region in recent months, Haider Ashraf, the deputy inspector general of operations for the police department in Lahore, has denied such claims.

Although it is hard to deny the fact that over 1,000 abduction cases are filed every year in the province, Ashraf has gone on record as saying that 90 percent of the 1,134 children reported to be abducted in 2015 actually left their homes on their own accord after being admonished by their parents. Ashraf further asserted that about 929 of the abducted children have returned on their own.

He said that 164 children were recovered and only about four children remain missing.

But as Pakistani teenage Christian girls are systematically being kidnapped, raped and forced into Islamic marriages, Pakistani Christian human rights activist Mehwish Bhatti told The Christian Post this week that Ashraf is wrong when he claims that most of the children who have been reported as kidnapped left home on their own will.

She added that most Christian families seeking help in getting their children back receive no help from the police. And those families that are fortunate enough to secure the release of their children usually have to pay a “heavy price,” Bhatti explained.

“They are just making up the story,” Bhatti, who handles abduction cases as an officer for the London-based charity British Pakistani Christian Association, said in response to the statistics Ashraf provided. She suggested that some of the numbers are made up so that the international media can make it seem like everything is alright in Pakistan.

“The police haven’t done anything yet,” she continued. “In all the kidnappings that have happened so far, I have not listened to a single parent saying that they got their children with the help of police. That’s all lies.”

Bhatti said that in many cases, Christian teenage girls are abducted by Muslims and are taken to be raped or forced into Islamic marriage. When the Christian families go to file police reports against the abductors, Bhatti says that the local police prevent the families from filing their cases and tell them that their child left the home to elope or because her home situation was not ideal.

A 2014 report by “Movement of Solidarity and Peace in Pakistan” found that 100 to 700 Christian girls are kidnapped in Pakistan every year, many of whom are forced into Islamic marriages.

Bhatti said she is currently working with a family from the Punjab province who had their 15-year-old daughter abducted three months ago while she was on a train.

“The family tried to register a FIR [first information report] against the kidnappers but the local police are not ready to register the FIR,” Bhatti said. “Instead of giving protection to the family, they just tell them, ‘Your girl has eloped from the home and she might have some affair with the guy and you might have also beaten her and something disgraceful has happened and that is why she left the home.'”

“This is not the right story,” Bhatti said. “The family is quite helpless, very helpless.”

Bhatti expressed serious concern that the 15-year-old girl will turn up dead one of these days.

“When the body is post-martyr, then the investigators are going to find what actually happened,” Bhatti added. “Why are we waiting to see the dead body of the girl? We need take the action beforehand. Why are the police and government not taking action? It is the legal right of every citizen.”

The daughter of another Christian family that Bhatti is working with was also kidnapped. She explained to CP that police won’t help the family recover their daughter or take action against the abductor because he is a Muslim who is well regarded in his political party and has ties to many political leaders.

Ashraf’s statistics come after Punjab’s Additional Inspector General Nadeem Nawaz sent a report to the Pakistan Supreme Court in July explaining that over 1,808 children were reported as abducted over the course of the last two years and that 1,715 of them have been recovered. Over the last six years, the report claims that over 6,793 children have been reported missing in the region over the last six years and 6,654 of them have been recovered.

Additionally, the report states that over 767 kidnapping cases were filed in the first seven months of 2016. The report adds that 715 children were rescued.

“We are in touch with over 20 families who have lost children and are receiving no help from local police authorities. Missing persons reports are not being recorded and the police often blame the parents for what they deem to be poor care for the missing child,” BPCA Chairman Wilson Chowdhry told CP.

“There seems to be a perception or ruse to label missing children as runaways and this is causing a feeling of helplessness for parents. A government inquiry into the increasing numbers of alleged missing children and the failure by police to register such concerns has become essential. Failure to react allows the potential for crimes such as human trafficking, organ trafficking and the kidnap, rape and forced marriage of vulnerable girls to perpetuate and proliferate.”

In the case of another family that Bhatti has worked with in the Punjab province, a mother of three was kidnapped and forced into Islamic marriage with a Muslim landlord.

Even though she was able to escape, the police threatened to arrest her family members after the Muslim landlord complained to the police about her escape. The threat of continuous persecution against the family was so great that the family felt forced to return their loved one to the abductor so that they would not face further persecution and arrest.

“Most of the Christian girls who are forced into marriages, they all were very young — 14, 15, 16 years,” Bhatti explained. “They were not allowed to get married but they were forced to get married and the Muslim police just produce artificial birth certificate just to prove that they are grown up and they are getting married on their own will just to make the Christian family quiet. The government of Pakistan has accepted this and those girls are still with the Muslim men and the landlords and everything.”

The British Pakistani Christian Association has set up an online petition calling on the Pakistani government to stop the systematic abduction and kidnapping of Christian girls by putting an end to the impunity that these Muslim abductors receive.

Even Pakistan Supreme Court Justice Saqib Nisar reportedly voiced concerns over the reports that over 600 children were kidnapped in recent days in a suo moto notice on July 26.

“It has been highlighted that such abductions are orchestrated with the nefarious object of extracting vital body organs of the abductees; while another attribution is for sexual abuse and / or beggary, etc., through the children,” the justice wrote. “That in any case such large scale abduction, if so, of children in a short span of time is a matter of immense concern and alarm.”
