Holy BibleAndhra Pradesh, February 12, 2013: On Sunday 10th February 2013, Mr. Anand Rao, 40, an Employee of National Thermal Power Corporation in Ramagundam in Andhra Pradesh, visited the campus of Indian Institute of Information Technology on an invitation from some of the Christian students there. He was teaching Bible to the Christian students at about 2.30 in the after noon.

The information about the Bible teaching was leaked to the HINDU VAHINI group (a radical Hindu Organisation), by someone inside the campus. The HINDU VAHINI activists reached the Basara police station in Adilabad District and filed a complaint against Mr. Anand Rao accusing him of forcible conversion. The Station Sub Inspector was too eager to register the FIR without even ascertaining the real facts. The activists, along with the police, reached the campus and arrested Mr. Anand Rao, stating that Mr. Anannd Rao was propagating a foreign religion in India and defaming the Hindu religion. Mr. Anand Rao was released on bail on 11th February 2013 by his Christian friends.
