Karnataka: Calvary Apostolic Church vandalized, 8 injured

Church vandalizedKarnataka, November 23, 2014: Rajendran, a mobster lead a violent mob today morning at about 10.30 and attacked Christian believers of Calvary Apostolic church and vandalized the church property in Gangammapalaya,within Bangararapet police station limits. During the attack by inebriated vandals attacks, eight believers of the congregation sustained serious injuries.

The perpetrators were threatening against the reconstruction of the church building. Two believers, Krupakar and Wilson are admitted in Jalappa, medical college hospital, Kolar with broken limbs.

Pastor D’Souza was subsequently taken to the Bangarapet police station. Mr.Sivakumar is the Inspector and jurisdictional Superintendent of police is Mr. Bagvan Dass.During the presstime Pastor is being questioned in the police station.

The small congregation members were thrown out of the church by the mobster and his group.
