Bihar, March 4, 2017: GEMS missionaries at Lalganj (Bhojpuri 3 zone) and at Aurangabad (Magahi 2 zone) are being continuously threatened by anti-secular forces to not preach the gospel & to stop conducting prayers.

GEMS is serving at Aurangabad, Bihar for more than 30 years. Bro. Jinu Raj is presently ministering as the missionary pastor in this place since April 2016, as a family. Since 19th Feb 2017 twice he has been threatened to not preach the gospel and to not hold church service and prayers at his rented house.

A group of people reached his rented place in the evening of 19th Feb (Sunday) and threatened him to not conduct prayers at his house. On 26th Feb (Sunday) while the service was going on a bigger group came and called the pastor down and once again warned him to not hold prayers.

There are nearly 120 believers worshipping the Lord at Aurangabad. The house owner has asked the missionary to either vacate the house or to stop the prayers.

Bro. Ravi Bushan is serving as the missionary pastor at GEMS church in Lalganj (Vaishali district).

On 1st March he was threatened over phone that he would be killed if he does not stop preaching about Jesus. The believers in the village had also mentioned that a group of people are seeking to kill him.

Rajesh Tiwari, Umesh Singh, Chandan Singh, Bittu Singh and others have threatened him with dire consequences. They have also told him to lock down the church and to not conduct prayers in the church. They also damaged the church roofing. They threatened him a year back too and when Bro. Ravi approached the local police station, his appeal was not heeded.
