Hindus should train in self-defence to prevent communal strife: Convention

Hindu Convention at Ramnathi TemplePonda, 25 June, 2014: Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad National Secretary Advocate Sanjiv Punalekar has advised Hindus to get trained in self-defence, in order to prevent communal riots in the country.

Punalekar was addressing a gathering on the fourth day of the Hindu Convention at Ramnathi Temple in Ponda taluka.

Speaking further, Punalekar said when seats of faith of Hindus are attacked at one place, no reactions are witnessed at other places.

“However, as soon as a minority community in Myanmar is attacked, its reactions are seen in Mumbai and Hindus are assaulted. Hence, in order to prevent communal riots in the country, Hindus should be trained in self-defence,” added Punalekar.

In his speech, ‘Bangladesh Minority Watch’ President Advocate  Rabindra Ghosh said in Bangladesh, religious fanatics have committed atrocities on Hindu families in the last six months.

“Even after facing such atrocities, Hindus are not willing to leave Bangladesh because they want to be part of an undivided Hindu nation,” he said.

Asking the citizens to get ready to fight the terrorists, Paras Rajput, Hindu Helpline, said very soon, terrorists from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc, are going to target Bharat and the citizens must prepare themselves to fight these terrorists.

Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said for the re-establishment of Dharma, Hindus should perform spiritual practice and enhance their strength.

Arvind Pansare, spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Maharashtra informed the gathering about the success achieved so far in the petition filed by the Samiti in the Mumbai High Court against riot at Azad Maidan, Mumbai.

Vinod Kumar Sarvodaya, a businessman from UP, Anand Rajput of Shiv Sena, Miraj and Adv Govind Tiwari, State Organiser of Hindu Mahasabha for Maharashtra also addressed the gathering.
