Karnataka: Property belonging to 2 Churches in Kundapur damaged

Karnataka, May 19, 2014: An incident which is feared to be a forerunner to events to come in the near future, there were minor damages to property of two churches in the town area on Sunday.

An ornamental pot at the entrance of the Holy Rosary church was found broken. Devotees who had come for the Sunday service noticed the damage informed the police.

A signpost leading to St Antony Church in Koteshwar also was found uprooted. The town police have registered cases in connection with both incidents.

Kiran Elroy D’Costa, president of Udupi pradesh Catholic Sabha has described it as an act of sick minds and urged the police to take strict action against the culprits.
