Christians badly treated by MuslimsPakistan: Kasur, June 06, 2013: One more shocking case has surfaced in a village of District Kasur where Christians were badly treated by Muslims. On a trivial matter, Christian women Arshad Bibi, Sajida and Saruyia were beaten by armed persons, while they were sleeping in their house. There was no man of the house was present in the house except one 73 years old man Sadiq Masih and his wife Bibi Rani 70 years old. They alleged that the landlords of the village – Abrahim, Muhammad Rafique, Munir,  Ahmad, Asif, Ahmad, Abid, Usman, Waseem, Waqas, Shabir and three unknown after beating made them publicly, left them naked and no one showed courage to save them from that torture.

“A few days ago some goats entered in the fields of the landlords and they locked them up in their house. I went to them and requested to give back my goats but they refused and abused me. They slapped me many times in front of many people and I returned back home,” said Shoukat Masih.

“On June 2, they blocked the way of my brother Shoukat Masih when he was going to his work, and they exchanged hot words, saying that being Christian how he dared to speak in loud voice with them. They beat, tortured and made naked our women when we were at work. They also tortured our 73 years old father and wounded his one leg” said Boota Masih.

“On 3 June we contacted with Rev. Saleem Gill of the Church of Pakistan and along with him approached to SHO of Pattoki but he did not bother to hear our request and rejected our complaints In the evening some police officials also raided our house along with the landlords and threatened to involve us in criminal case,” said Shoukat Masih.

Christians badly treated by MuslimsOn 4 June,2013,  Rev. Saleem Gill informed advocate Sardar Mushtaq Gill, National Director, LEAD to help the persecuted family and give them legal aid.

The national director of LEAD went to the village, met the family, got information regarding the case and approached to DSP of Pattoki for the registration of FIR against the alleged accused who beat and publicly made naked the Christianwomen and also recorded a protest along with the victim’s family.

The FIR No.231/13 has been registered against the alleged landlord at Police Station of Sadar Pattoki under Sections 452,354,337/FI,149,148 of PPC. The Muslim allegedly accused is now threatening the Christian family and with the connivance of Police has also got registered another FIR No.234/13 under Sections 440, 379, 148, 149 of PPC, so that they could pressurise the victim Christian family for compromise.

There are some other Christians who said that they are often threatened, treated badly and inhumane way by these landlords. They said they were poor and that’s why they were treated like animals by the fanatics.
